Against the odds surrounding them, Linkin Park has persevered through waves of negative criticism surrounding their newest offering, 'One More Light'  and claimed the No.1 spot across Billboard charts.

Billboard reports that the band now joins and elite group of artists that have had six or more studio albums reach the No.1 spot on their charts. The list is as follows, The Beatles still claim the throne with 19, The Rolling Stones at nine, Led Zeppelin and U2 at seven, and Bon Jovi, Dave Matthews Band, Eagles, Metallica and now Linkin Park have six.

'One More Light'  is now the band's seventh studio effort and although this is their sixth No.1 award, all of their studio efforts have reached top 10 status including all collaborative projects.

Linkin Park have also announced the dates of their North American tour which will feature support from Machine Gun Kelly. All single-full priced ticket purchases will include a choice of physical or digital copy of 'One More Light.'  Additionally, $1 of each sale will go to the band's Music for Relief  organization. Check out the charity's website for more information and check out the band's website for tour dates!

Scott Ian: Anthrax would "make beautiful music together" with Lady Gaga

Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian put out his request to work with pop icon Lady Gaga. With the recent buzz Gaga has made in the metal world recently with her 2017 Grammy performance of "Moth Into Flame" with Metallica, it's no surprise this metal icon wants to be next in line.

In an interview with Duke TV, Ian told interviewer Antoine De Montremy, "Yes, we would love to work with Lady Gaga. I think we put that out there a while ago. And then when we found out she was doing the Grammys with Metallica, I was, like, 'Wow! It makes sense. They're gonna be on a big TV show and do it together.' And I actually thought she was great on it.

"I've said since the beginning, since the first time I ever heard her voice, I always thought, 'Wow, I would really love to hear her sing on a rock record, metal record, whatever,'" he continued. "And then our drummer, Charlie [Benante], ended up meeting her at a show and they became friends. And she knows all about Anthrax and Metallica and all these bands… whoever — name the band. She's a metalhead. So that made it even cooler. The fact that, all right, she knows that world, she understands that world, and she can sing the shit out of this kind of music."

Ian added: "I don't know what their plans are — if Metallica has more plans with Lady Gaga or if she has plans with Metallica — but we would certainly love to write a song together, or a whole album. Let us be your backing band. Let us be your backing band, Lady Gaga. We could make beautiful music together."

KISS  has recently canceled their show in Manchester that was set for May 30th. Just a week after a suicide bomber attacked and killed 22 people during an Arianna Grande Concert. Manchester  Arena remains closed and our prayers go out to all those effected in this tragic event.

KISS sent their love and support by saying : "We are heartbroken by the atrocity committed against the innocent victims of Manchester. " The band also said "We have always looked forward to these shows and our local fans, but in light of recent events, a canceled rock show seems of such little consequence."

The rest of the shows will go on as planned.

Good news for all you Avenged Sevenfold fans! M. Shadows recently confirmed that Avenged Sevenfold will be headlining their own tour in January and February of 2018! M Shadows confirmed this with Kaytie of Razor 94.7 radio. Dates and locations will be confirmed after their tour with Metallica. Check out the interview below!

M Shadows explains that they had to choose between being apart of one of the biggest rock show this summer or have their own tour. He goes on saying "It was actually a little bit of a tough decision, because we had just paid for the whole stage to get built, and that was a lot of money to build that stage set," he said. "And we were able to use it in Europe and in the U.K., but it is by no means paid off. So the whole idea was to go and take it throughout America, but then we got the call from Lars of Metallica and it was, like, 'We can't pass that up.' It's just too big of a tour, it'll be too much fun. It's too good for the rock fan; the rock fans are gonna love that tour. So we basically had to say, 'Okay, we're just gonna put the stage in storage for a year and come back to it.' And hopefully that will all work out for us."

Avenged has been working with Cirque Du Soleil on the current tour and will most likely be working with them in the future. This is due to the want to create a new kind of love show experience for fans! Stay tuned for tour dates and be sure to check out our content featuring Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold!

Pauley told altpress about the meaning of the song for him. He explains " I think that song is hugely about a fire, a passion that’s inside you to do it. I think lyrically when it says ‘Maybe I can light the way back to me’ its almost like maybe if I can harness this passion I can find my way back to myself. The way that I was before this loss, the way that I was when I felt like I was stronger." Be sure to check out the video below!

If you live near central park, that ruckus you heard yesterday morning (May 19th) was none other than the punk styling's of Green Day, kicking off the Good Morning America Concert Series.

The band set out on a mission to promote their wildly successful release of their latest LP "Revolution Radio" and was invited by Good Morning America to perform on their Summer Concert series, where a number of today's popular artists perform in scenic Central Park in New York City.

This is one in a string of television appearances the band has made in their campaign to promote their latest record.

Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong gave his thoughts on their recent success, “It’s been a long strange trip. It’s been almost 30 years or something like that, good lord. We’re on this new tour right now for Revolution Radio and it’s been the best — I can’t think of a better time to be in Green Day right now.”

Their set in central park saw the likes of “Know Your Enemy,” “Still Breathing,” “Basket Case,” “Revolution Radio” (not televised) and “Youngblood” (not televised).

The trio plans to begin their U.S. tour August 1st along with Catfish and The Bottlemen which will wrap up September 13th. Check out the tour dates on their website!

Corey Taylor  showed up at Star FM in Berlin, Germany and performed an acoustic performance of Song #3 for Stone Sour's upcoming album "Hydrograd" out June 30th via Roadrunner Records
"It is the best stuff that we've ever written. It's got a lot of different directions, but at its core it's very hard rock, almost in a modern/classic sense. There are some hints of punk in there. There's some cool hard rock/heavy metal. There's just all of these really cool elements that we've never maybe allowed ourselves to kind of go to."- Taylor on "Hydrograd."

Bassist Johnny Chow described the disc as "a straight rock and roll album" in an interview with Detroit radio station WRIF.

Stone Sour will be special guests of Korn on the  "Serenity Of Summer" tour, which starts on June 16 in Salt Lake City and wraps on August 2 in Cleveland.
