Just when Warner Bros. Records, thought they we’re pulling a fast one on California rockers Avenged Sevenfold, the band was first to the punch. Avenged’s brand new album The Stage (not, Voltaic Oceans) may be released as soon as tomorrow.
It seems that WWE Wrestler and close friend Chris Jericho who famously “leaked” that the band’s album would be due Dec. 9th. May have done this to throw off Warner Bros. who were quick to announce a Greatest Hits album for the band to be released just a week before Voltaic Oceans was assumed to be released. “Avenged Sevenfold's new album is titled 'The Stage' and will be in your hands very very soon pic.twitter.com/OvcLPZZvR0” — The Metal Core (@TheMetalCore) October 27, 2016 Additionally, Avenged will stream a special live performance tonight (Oct. 27) at 8:30PM PT, which can be enjoyed in 3D, 360-degrees and Virtual Reality on Avenged’s official website. For now, here is the assumed track listing of The Stage. 01. ‘The Stage’ (8:32) 02. ‘Paradigm’ (4:19) 03. ‘Sunny Disposition’ (6:41) 04. ‘God Damn’ (3:42) 05. ‘Creating God’ (5:35) 06. ‘Angels’ (5:41) 07. ‘Simulation’ (5:31) 08. ‘Higher’ (6:29) 09. ‘Roman Sky’ (5:00) 10. ‘Fermi Paradox’ (6:31) 11. ‘Exist’ (15:39)

By: Jordan Lindley Showcasing ever-consonant vocal harmonies and soothing guitar lines, followed by punchy and fuzzy punk sections, “Boss” by Bear Hands utilizes the classic punk structure of loud/quiet/loud in a smooth manner that shows awareness and respect to the genre. Bear Hands has just released a new official music video for “Boss” which, after their impressive performance on NBC’s Last Call With Carson Daly, is a more-than-welcome extra treat from the group. Watching the video, I couldn’t help but feel a spectrum of different emotions, from laughing at the absurdity of the main character’s life, to feeling a sad pity for his choices. The visuals paired with the lyrics of the song further feed the story; this music video is worth a couple of viewings. To top it all off, Bear Hands is presently on tour through the United States, alongside a few friends. Check the list below, and make sure you don’t miss one of their shows! BEAR HANDS - TOUR DATES

Today, the band released a brand new video for their single "The Stage," which can be viewed above. Fans have been anxiously waiting for anything from the Avenged Sevenfold camp after the band revealed earlier this year that fans could expect new music within the year. In the last few weeks, the band has headlined several large festivals such as Revolution Rock Festival in Connecticut as well as a prime opening slot for Metallica at the new Vikings Stadium.
The song is a departure from the structure and tone of Hail to the King (2016). If anything, "The Stage" is reminiscent of the band's work on City of Evil and Nightmare. At an adventurous 8 minutes and 32 seconds, the band's new single takes the listener on a melodic journey filled with classic A7X guitar solos and dangerous vocals by front-man M Shadows. Fans got more than they expected when it was revealed that the band may be releasing new music this December. This information was evidenced by a post on social media from WWE Star Chris Jericho saying the album may be called Voltaic Oceans due out in December. Loudwire has confirmed that, "this album will arrive on Capitol Records. Avenged Sevenfold managed to sever their contract with Warner Bros, citing constant staff turnover as the impetus." Stay tuned for more from the band! |
