Late night tweets from Axl Rose to Tim Cook .. do I smell an album?
Holy hell guys, Axl Rose was up late on Twitter last night and absolutely threw down the gauntlet to Apple CEO, Tim Cook. Look for yourself.
With no f*cking context. Just BOOM. Look, if you ever scrolled through the GNR vocalists Twitter, it's quite obvious that he isn't a fan of Trump. And I know Apple is kind of sketchy with the whole alleged forcing customers to upgrade devices and the forbidden city of Sweatshops, but you know, for some reason, Tim Cook just doesn't seem like the President #45 kind of guy on the outside. So where's the beef, Axl?
Essentially, this lead me to believe two things: Either Axl Rose is some U.S. Politics Whisperer or their is a new Guns N' Roses album is in the works. You can probably guess which one of the two it is but to keep things fair, we must test both hypotheses.
Hypothesis 1: Axl Rose = Political Insider
Lets rewind back to November 9, 2017; the last time Rose tweeted in 2017. Prior to that, he had tweeted a whopping twenty-two times in the year. After that he went off the grid until January 4, marking his triumphant return to the Twitter machine.
And from then, he has just been on a run dragging the White House down to the ground.
Definitely not a political expert, but he is definitely not afraid to flex that First Amendment right.
Hypothesis 2: Gun N' Roses are or have been in the studio recording a new album.
Why else would Axl Rose randomly send a out a late night hate-tweet at the CEO of Apple? Because his iPhone froze? No, probably something to do with oh I don't know, say a contract or agreement over an album or streaming rights? Welcome to the new millennium Guns N' Roses. Vinyl might be making a comeback but streaming will remain king of the music industry for the time being.
It has been widely reported that Slash has been spotted in the studio, there has been little speculation about a new GNR album but I think it's safe to say that the cat is out of the bag and we are on to you Guns N' Roses.
