öColson Baker, a.k.a., Machine Gun Kelly, has landed the role as Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee in Netflix’s upcoming adaption of the bands 2001 autobiography “The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band.”
The film will focus on the hair band’s early days on the Sunset Strip showcasing the highs and the lows, but nonetheless, Mötley Crüe.
Although Machine Gun’s claim to fame is due to his successful rap career, Baker has been stacking his resume wit acting gigs simultaneously. Baker has starred in the Showtime series Roadies as Wes and co-starred with Dave Franco in Nerve.
The film is said to been in talks for ten years now and will most likely be directed by Jeff Tremaine, director of the Jackass movie. The band members are also said to be co-producing the film as well. No official release date has been confirmed at this time.
