After months of anticipation, Of Mice & Men have announced the release date of their first album since the departure of Austin Carlile. Defy is set to hit store shelves and Spotify playlists January 19, 2018 via Rise Records. This will be the bands first project with Aaron Pauley handling both lead vocals and bass.

The campaign for Defy began today with the band releasing a new single “Warzone” accompanied with a music video.  “Warzone” kicks off with a brief techno-esque drumbeat (reminiscent of Nothing More, who Pauley performed with at the 2017 Loudwire Music Awards), then dives right into the depths of Pauley’s intense harsh vocals yelling the verses leading up to, “this is a warzone!”

Staying true to the bands theme of employing a contrast between harsh and standard vocals, the middle eight of the track features a slower tempo with melodic vocals and could also be considered the lone chorus of the track. “Warzone” successfully lays the foundation for one of 2018’s most anxiously awaited rock records.

"We're excited to be debuting the music video for 'Warzone' today, a song from our new album, Defy," said Pauley. "For us, this new album encapsulates and showcases our desire to return to an aggressive, live-oriented sound, and 'Warzone' is one of the heaviest tracks on the album. Because we love releasing new music as often as we can, it only seemed fitting to release it right before our massive EU/UK tour with In Flames and Five Finger Death Punch this Fall/Winter. So turn it up, and bang your head."
