We're no strangers to loving this news, and no, we're not trolling you. Rick Astley paid tribute to his "new best friends" in the Foo Fighters with a short cover of the Foo's classic hit, "Everlong" at the We Are Manchester benefit concert.
Take a look for yourself right here!
The newfound friendship stems from a prank the Foo's played on the Westboro Baptist Church at a planned protest where the band rented a loaded flatbed truck, rolled passed the protesters, and began to troll the protesters playing Astley's classic "Never Gonna Give You Up."
Then as the stars and planets aligned, Astley got a chance to cross paths with the band in Japan at the Summer Sonic Festival and one lucky audience got a chance to hear music perfection; a mash-up of "Never Gonna Give You Up" and the chord progression of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Give it a watch/listen here.
Hopefully, if the stars align once again, we'll be witnessing more of this beautiful friendship blossom further.
