Last night glam-revivalists Steel Panther brought their All You Can Eat World Tour to the House of Blues in Boston for a night of partying like tomorrow was the end of the world. The All You Can Eat World Tour which already boasted a twenty-one song set, also brought along New Zealand rockers Like A Storm to get the packed house of Bostonians ready to rock. While you may have never heard of Like A Storm, any band that kicks their set off with a didgeridoo is worth taking note of. The band put on a nu-metal inspired set rocking tunes like "Love the Way You Hate Me" and "Wish You Hell." In addition to a unique didgeridoo/drum solo, the band also laid down covers of Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise" and AC/DC's "TNT."
Following a crowd-hyping set from Like A Storm, Boston was ready for the LA rockers to take the stage. As the acoustic intro of "Pussywhipped" filled the House of Blues, fanthers on the scene got restless. The band proceeded to hit fans with "Party Like Tomorrow Is The End Of The World" and emotional balled "Fat Girl." Front-man Michael Starr kept vibes family-friendly when he enlisted the help of females in the crowd to perform "17 Girls In A Row" and "Gloryhole". Half-way through the set, the band showed their sensitive side and slowed things down for an acoustic mini-set of new tunes like "Kanye West" and crowd favorites "Stripper Girl." The band closed out their set with a hard hitting line up of "Asian Hooker," "Eyes of a Panther," "Death to All but Metal," "Community Property," and "Party All Day (Fuck All Night)." Aside from great tunes, Steel Panther lived up to the reputation of their action-packed live show featuring blistering solos driven by lead guitarist, Satchel; hilarious comedy, sexual tension, and engagement between the band and the crowd. At the end of the night, Steel Panther delivered on a night of Rock & Roll and debauchery which Boston won't be forgetting anytime soon.
