It is still hard to believe that on this day, eight years ago, the world lost Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan. Known by most as the founding drummer of Avenged Sevenfold. Jimmy's work forever changed the landscape of American rock music.
While he is often remembered as one of the funniest and care-free personalities of Avenged Sevenfold, many fail to realize The Rev was also the main writer for many of the band's biggest hits. Songs like "Afterlife," "A Little Piece of Heaven," and "Almost Easy" are just a handful of the Rev's contributions to the Avenged Sevenfold discography.
