By David McNally Avenged Sevenfold streamed their new track titled Dose last Tuesday. A month after adding Retrovertigo and Malagueńa to their evolving album, The Stage, Avenged Sevenfold has now added the track Dose. The Stage is an album of many firsts for the band. The album is unlike anything A7X has ever released. “For us, the idea of turning an album into a living piece of art and adding new installations is really intriguing. It expands the journey,” said vocalist M. Shadows. The concept of a living album is fairly new music. Instead of releasing an album and marking the end of a project, artists are now adding tracks after the initial release and continuing to foster projects. If you’re a music traditionalist this concept may seem odd. We’re used to purchasing an album and holding on to it forever. Today, artists are challenging the structure and pushing the boundaries on what an album can be or become. Firsts for Avenged Sevenfold on The Stage
