Cane Hill dropped their third album Too Far Gone via Rise Records. The record is the groups follow up to their 2016 album Smile and the band has grown tremendously. Overall, Too Far Gone is a very solid album front to back and give it 8.5 stars out of 10. Vocalist Elijah Witt versatility is on full display on tracks such as "Why?" where the singer employs a softer vocal style than usual and on "Lord of Flies" Witt reminds us of the power his vocal chords are a capable of.
"Erased" is another standout track that is lyrically enticing and is easy for us as listeners to connect emotionally to, as Witt vocalizes the pain of losing a loved one to illness.
Being the bands third album, expect Too Far Gone to push Cane Hill into the rock conversation as the band is beginning to hit their stride and entering their prime. This record is as dark as it is soulful and is easy to recognize the matured approach to making an album from Cane Hill. Expect big things to come from this group. Too Far Gone is Headrush approved.
