Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor spoke to Cincinnati radio station WEBN about his son, Griffin Taylor, joining him on stage last week. The 14-year-old sang lead vocals for the band’s single “Song #3” at the PNC Banks Art Center in Holmdel, NJ in front of a large and enthusiastic crowd. The track is off Stone Sour’s most recent album, Hydrograd.
Corey said in the interview, “"I'm thinking about it now and I'm gettin' goosebumps. He handled it so well, he was so into it and just sang his ass off. It was so rad! And we were all so into it that we were missing parts — we just kept making mistakes. It was, like, 'The kid's making us look good. Jeez.' So it was pretty rad, man. Just being able to see him do that, I've never felt that kind of pride in my life."
The father-son performance took place at a show for Korn‘s “Summer of Serenity” headlining tour. When the summer tour ends, Stone Sour will set off on their own for the majority of 2017. Check out tour dates here. Fingers crossed that Griffin will make another special guest appearance!
