Boston rockers Dropkick Murphys are showing the world in 2017 that they can’t be forgotten so easily. The band released their new album ’11 Short Stories of Pain and Glory’ earlier this January which has since received some of the best reviews in the band’s long history, even going so far as to reach No. 1 on iTunes charts.
The Boston Globe proclaims that “...they show no signs of mellowing with age” and even Newsday says, “Its most potent album in years.”
The band’s new music video for ‘Paying My Way’ can be watched here.
Frontman Ken Casey states that ‘Paying My Way’ is not just about paying your bills, it’s about doing what you have to do in order to be a good person. But at the end of the day, never losing sight of the fact that doing the next right thing may lead to great things one day.” The theme of rising up and empowering yourself and others in this album shines through the band’s own lives as they have been performing much charity work with their self-started organization The Claddagh Fund that reaches out to help addiction recovery, children, and veterans.
