By Francesco Albanese If you live near central park, that ruckus you heard yesterday morning (May 19th) was none other than the punk styling's of Green Day, kicking off the Good Morning America Concert Series.
The band set out on a mission to promote their wildly successful release of their latest LP "Revolution Radio" and was invited by Good Morning America to perform on their Summer Concert series, where a number of today's popular artists perform in scenic Central Park in New York City. This is one in a string of television appearances the band has made in their campaign to promote their latest record. Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong gave his thoughts on their recent success, “It’s been a long strange trip. It’s been almost 30 years or something like that, good lord. We’re on this new tour right now for Revolution Radio and it’s been the best — I can’t think of a better time to be in Green Day right now.” Their set in central park saw the likes of “Know Your Enemy,” “Still Breathing,” “Basket Case,” “Revolution Radio” (not televised) and “Youngblood” (not televised). The trio plans to begin their U.S. tour August 1st along with Catfish and The Bottlemen which will wrap up September 13th. Check out the tour dates on their website!
