By Haley Biermann Green Day’s seminal album Nimrod first struck our ears on October 14, 1997. It's hard to believe that the album could get any cooler. What could be better than rocking out to classic favorites like "Platypus" or "Reject" on your iPhone or car stereo? Listening to them on vinyl of course! Nimrod is now set to receive a 20th anniversary limited edition vinyl reissue on October 13th via Reprise Records, the same company that issued its premiere release.
The reissue will be available in two configurations. Both will include double 140 gram bright yellow vinyl- check them out here! Nimrod was recorded in Los Angelas, CA, and produced by Rob Cavallo. The album built up steam immediately upon its debut, finding a place among the top 10 on the Billboard 200 Chart. It has since sold 2 million copies worldwide, and was certified Double Platinum by the RIAA. Its acoustic hit "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)," also had massive success, making numerous notable appearances on television shows, including the season finale of Seinfeld. Green Day is currently traveling the US as a part of their Revolution Radio world tour. They will be playing in the US through November. Take a look at dates here.
