Knuckle Puck announced the upcoming release of their second full length album! Shapeshifter is available October 13 via Rise Records. You can pre-order the album here.
Shapeshifter follows the band’s 2015 debut album Copacetic. The band has also released a three minute single called “Gone.” The song maintains high energy and intense vocals from lead singer Joe Taylor for its entire duration. Album art with pale colored boxes and images of a woman writing a letter came out along with the new song.
Apparently the second album took a couple of tries. Unhappy with the first product, the band turned to producer Seth Henderson for help.
Guitarist Nick Casasanto said, ““When you reach early adulthood and start to see your life take shape, it’s also important to shape your identity and break yourself free from anything that might be holding you down. That was a glaring parallel between what was going on with the record and what we were writing about at the time. Although it was tumultuous, I truly think we wouldn’t have written the same record without going through what we did.”
