By Haley Biermann The first news we heard about Trivium’s newest album The Sin and the Sentence came out earlier this month with the release of the title track and music video. This will be the band’s first new music since their 2015 LP, Silence in the Snow. The album is extra fresh, as it features new drummer Alex Bent. Bent signed on to become an official Trivium member last year. The Sin and the Sentence was recorded at Santa Ana’s Hybrid Studios with producer Josh Wilbur, who is known for his work with Lamb of God and Gojira. The album is due out on October 20th via Roadrunner Records. Along with the album details, Trivium released a new video for “The Heart From Your Hate.” Frontman Matt Heafy powerful vocals is paired with black and white clips of the band performing. A grim red filter creeps to replace the grey-scale, making for an uncanny video you can’t take your eyes off of. The band is completing their summer European tour with appearances at Germany’s Wacken Open Air and Poland’s Woodstock Festival. They will be making their way to North America this fall to embark on a co-headlining tour with Arch Enemy. The tour will feature support from While She Sleeps and Fit for an Autopsy. The tour starts in Orlando, Florida on October 27 and concludes in Houston, Texas on December 6. Find out when Trivium is playing near you here.
